The Royal Mint not only makes coins for the UK, but also many other countries all around the world. Throughout history the Mint has made coins for over 200 different countries. This page looks at some of those coins and has activities you can use in class.

International coins

Designs on coins often express something about the national identity of the country they are for. Use these downloads to explore the different international coins made by the Royal Mint and what the images on the coins mean.

Cut out coins

Download the pdf below which features pictures of coins from around the world. Pupils will cut out the shapes and stick the heads and tails sides together to make a double sided coin.
